4 mln tons of freights will be transshipped down the Transcaspian international transportation route (TITR) in 2018, Qamshy.kz information agency has learned from association of TITR.
The first session of the members of the international association Transcaspian international transportation route was held in Ankara on February 16.
"The session covered the volume of freights transshipped down TITR (Middle Corridor) in 2017 and early 2018, plans to increase the volumes to 4 mln tons this year, further improvement of transportation technologies, organization and launch of line container communication down the Caspian Sea since April 2018," the message reports.
Turkish state railway transportations got the membership in the association.
The Transcaspian international transportation route runs from China through Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and further to Turkey or Ukraine- to Europe.
